2007 Potomac trophy winners are reminded that they must return trophies not later than February 10, 2008. Failure to do so will make cleaning, repair and preparations for Potomac 2008 very difficult. Further, failure to do so will make the 2007 winner inelligible to possess a Potomac trophy in the future. Please, please get those trophies returned to Anne Maynard as soon as possible. The Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac, Inc. is pleased to offer a Breeders Education Seminar in conjunction with our Spring Specialty on April 10th, 2007. Last year’s seminar was so well received we chose to do an all day seminar this year. Come and learn the secrets to timing ovulation and c-sections; stud dog infertility and modern ways to assist reproduction; dietary management during reproduction; the myths and mysteries of the OFA, and using the OFA database in your breeding program; understanding and making pedigrees work for you. And of course proper structure and movement in the Labrador, and what the Labrador is like in other countries. Continental breakfast and buffet Lunch included with seminar fee.

Mr. Daniel Kim, Vice President of the Korean Labrador Retriever Club, Mrs. Kaori Chiba, President of the Kyoto LRC, and Dr. John Verstegen, the developer of MiniTube America CaniPro long life extender will join John and Sajie Crook at the seminar. Mr. Kim and Mrs. Chiba will discuss the development of the Labrador in their countries. Dr. Verstegen will discuss how his extender will help in the shipping of semen internationally.

The Labrador Retriever Club of the Potomac, Inc. is delighted to announce The Potomac Gala, a celebration of our cherished veterans and featuring the future of our sport, our junior handlers! This will be a special night to remember. Join us after dinner for dessert and a special evening of judging. The Potomac Gala will begin promptly at 7 pm with our Junior Showmanship Classes judged by Mrs. Betsy Horn Humer. Veterans Classes will follow Junior Showmanship and will be judged by Mrs. Mary Wiest. The hotel will offer a special dinner buffet before this event beginning shortly after the completion of afternoon judging.
